“Is it Wilkes-BAR? Is it Wilkes-Barre like Berry? Or is it Wilkes-Barre!!!!” Chris Jericho from Fozzy shouts to the crowd who filled up the Chandelier Lobby of the F.M. Kirby Center in Downtown Wilkes-Barre, PA on a Wednesday evening!
Opening up the show was a band called THE STIR from Atlanta, Georgia who had a 1970s vibe going with modern rock. I must say that whoever chose this band to open up a show, did a great job! Major props to them. I definitely would go see them again LIVE.
Gemini Syndrome was up next and they rocked the stage playing songs from Lux and Momento Miri. As crowded the venue was, it felt so intimate.
I have to admit there were a lot of fans who came just to see “FOZZY” or just to see “CHRIS JERICHO” due to his Wrestling fame with the WWE but I could tell fans enjoyed all three acts.
I wish most shows just had three artists. It makes the night go by quicker and it tends to feel more professional. You go to a local show with one headliner and the night drags on and on. However this tour where FOZZY is supporting their upcoming album, JUDAS, this tour is a must-see.
After FOZZY’s set, Gemini Syndrome gathered a few selected fans who purchased a special pass to go downstairs in the venue to listen to three acoustic songs with a brief meet and greet.
Make sure you check out a date near you, you won’t regret it! We didn’t!
