(Pittston, PA & Jenkins Township, PA) – Last night the 2nd Annual Pittston City St. Patrick’s Parade Committee Pub Crawl was the talk of the town.
It all began at 4pm at the Susquehanna Brewing Company for warm-ups for the band of the night, The Wyoming Valley Pipe & Drum Band. They also performed last year.
Once the Yatesville buses pulled up to the parking lot, the warm-ups were over and the party begun. The band along with pub crawl-goers were excited to hit the road with the band. One bus for the committee and friends. The other bus was for the band and their guests.
With local floods, we all took a scenic route detour North along the Bypass to our first stop at the Knights of Columbus.
Knights of Columbus members and open to the public surrounded the bar and tables while the band marched in and had all eyes on.
After two sets within an hour at the Knights, it was time for the band to march across the street to the Tomato Bar. It was a nice scenic look with rain falling down and the sounds of the bagpipes and drums. At a full packed bar, everyone enjoyed the live music and some were even surprised to see the band come in.
With a repeat set, it was time to say goodbye to the Tomato Bar, hop in the Yatesville bus and roam over 2 blocks to the Red Mill Tavern. This was probably the best turn out as far as the participating crowd.
Then the last stop was at the Brews Brothers Sports Bar & Grill with a great finale with local Irish Dancers and glass drinks clinging.
