In a Northern California city called Vacaville lives a star named named Vinnie
Langdon. He grew up with a crazy imagination with a theatre background during
elementary school and once was an avid youth hockey player. Once he was in middle
school he looked back on his past childhood and sorted out his favorite interests to
decide what he wanted to do for the rest of his life. He wanted to become a TV and
Movie Star. Vacaville is eight hours from Los Angeles and with not having any
connections to relocate to Los Angeles area at the age of fourteen, it was best for Vinnie
to begin his career in his hometown. When people think of a public access television
station you think it might be just amateur local produced work that doesn’t stand out
by low quality. Vinnie decided he didn’t want a real job yet so he figured getting
involved with the local TV would be valuable volunteer outreach to get his hands wet in
local television to learn the operations of how the world of television worked and may
possibly lead to showcasing his acting talent.
After a few months of training on how to operate cameras and self-edit, Vinnie
developed “THE VINNIE LANGDON SHOW!” which was the beginning of his success.
The Vinnie Langdon Show became known around Northern California based on his
humorous interviewing skills with emerging musical artists to acting in self-created
comedy sketches mixed into one variety entertainment program. Between tapings of
over 400 episodes, Vinnie worked on a few commercials, indie films and other television
programs. In 2007, his show expanded to Sacramento’s counties public access station.
In 2009 it got a larger demographics when it got accepted to broadcast the program on
VCAT network (Vallejo, CA public access station) and AT&T u-verse / Vacaville
Community TV Channel 99 which is seen from Fairfield, CA-Sacramento-Modesto, CA
(Est. 501,000 viewers.)
Vinnie won in 2006 “The Laughing Dog Best Comedy” award for his indie film
PERMISSION in the Idaho Panhandle Film Festival which was a ten-minute short. He
worked on two full length independent films THE GREEN ROOM (2007) and MYSTERY
UNDER MISERY (2009.) He’s appeared in commercials for TOYOTA and CLOCKTOWER
PIZZA as an actor.
In 2007, rock band Ghost in The Flesh (formerly The Dead Celebrities) asked Vinnie to
direct their first music video for KWOD 106.5 Summer Buzz Contest. With Vinnie's
filming and editing, the band won Best Music Video to open up for electronica band
Shiny Toy Guns.
Vinnie is a strong supporter of CalSTAR which is a rescue air ambulance based in
Northern California. Vinnie had open-heart surgery and needed transportation from
one hospital to another one to under go heart surgery when he was two-months old.
Vinnie appeared as a guest in a documentary for CalSTAR in 2007. He also has helped
raise over $50,000 for Children’s Hospital in charity radiothon events.
Vinnie has also been a teacher for three years as an International School Teacher. He
has taught English, US History and Drama.
On April 25th 2010, Vinnie won "The Up-And-Comer" award for his acting work in the
2010 Sacramento Film Festival nominated by the California Film Foundation.
Vinnie hopes to keep working as a professional actor and hope to do it for the rest of his
life!
